Terms &
Conditions

Thank you for choosing to learn singing with me! These Terms and Conditions outline how lessons are scheduled, paid for, and managed, to ensure a respectful and professional experience for all students.

Lessons

  • All lessons are one-on-one and tailored to each student’s age, ability, goals, and interests.

  • Lessons are held in person or online (as agreed upon in advance).

  • Lesson duration and frequency are arranged at the time of enrolment.

Payments

  • Payments may be made via bank transfer or direct debit (preferred for recurring lessons).

  • Lessons are payable on the day of the lesson, unless pre-arranged term billing is in place.

  • Invoices can be sent by request and will include payment instructions and due dates.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that life happens. Here’s how cancellations are managed:

  • If the Teacher Cancels:

  • A make-up lesson will be scheduled at a mutually agreed time.

  • If the Student Cancels with Less Than 24 Hours’ Notice:
20% of the lesson fee will be forfeited. The remaining 80% can be applied to a rescheduled session.

  • If the Student Cancels with More Than 24 Hours’ Notice:
No cancellation fee will apply, and a make-up lesson will be offered where possible.

  • No-shows or same-day cancellations (without notice) will be charged in full, unless due to a medical emergency or extenuating circumstances.

Illness and Sickness Policy

  • To protect the health and wellbeing of all students:

  • If a student is unwell with cold, flu, or viral symptoms, they are kindly asked to reschedule or move the lesson online.

  • If the teacher is unwell, lessons will either be moved online, rescheduled, or credited.

  • Please notify as early as possible if illness may affect your attendance.

COVID-19 Safety Policy

  • In-person lessons will follow current local health advice and restrictions.

  • If a student or household member has tested positive for COVID-19, or is isolating due to symptoms or exposure, the lesson will be rescheduled or held online.

  • If the teacher is impacted by COVID-19, lessons will be rescheduled or shifted online where appropriate.

Public/School Holidays

  • Lessons do not automatically run on public holidays. This will need to be organised with your teacher.

  • Lessons can be held during school holidays by arrangement.

  • Any breaks in your schedule should be communicated in advance to avoid confusion or fees.

Lateness Policy

  • If a student is late, the lesson will finish at the scheduled time.

  • If the teacher is late, the full lesson time will still be honoured or made up.

Studio Etiquette

  • Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.

  • Please arrive on time and prepared for your lesson.

  • Children under 18 must be dropped off and collected promptly, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Termination of Lessons

  • Either party may discontinue lessons with 2 weeks' notice.

  • Any outstanding fees must be settled before the final lesson.

  • The teacher reserves the right to discontinue lessons in cases of repeated cancellations, no-shows, or disruptive behaviour.

I acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the land on where I live and work. The Gadigal of the Eora Nation are the traditional custodians of the land now known as Sydney. I acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have an intrinsic connection to the land and were the First Peoples to share stories, music and voices in this country. I respect and acknowledge their Elders, past and present.
